I wouldn't have been able to handle Deanna marrying Worf either. It seems to me, the writers, not including Peter David who wrote the book Imzadi, forgot what Imzadi means. Imzadi is forever. Imzadi is far deeper than just soul mate. It's "the first one to touch one's soul" from Imzadi, by Peter David. I really hated it when the writers killed K'Ehleyr, because to me, those two belonged together. Then poor Worf also lost Jadzia. He couldn't get a break, but he did not belong with Deanna. Will and Deanna belong together and in the end, I guess we convinced the writers, because Will and De were married. Now if only they saw the same with Beverly and Jean-Luc. :) I'm one of the biggest Imzadi fans known to TNG. A hopeless or hopeful romantic. Even so, whatever possess the powers that be to put Deanna with Worf? (Side note: I wore out my first copy of "Imzadi" you signed almost 30 years ago and was grateful to get a signed copy of "Imzadi Forever". Thank you. I haven't worn that copy out, like my original copy of the "Imzadi Bible" by Peter David.) I also have a hard copy of both books too, which I may bring with me, if I ever meet you again, for you to sign those too. Yeah, I'm the worst Imzadian. lol Still, I can't imagine whatever gave the writers the idea, but glad we all won and De and Will got married in the end. We also wouldn't want you to kill yourself either over that. We'd start another letter campaign before we let that happen. :)
