Tomorrow is All Saints' Day for us too. An old friend of mine recently passed away last week at the age of 90. I will light a candle tomorrow not only for my deceased families but also for them. And if you're not angry, the candle will also be lit in Michael's memory, because you are also a family member of those who are here.

Día de los Muertos is another name for it. I think it's a rather interesting celebration.
In Sicily, there's something similar. It's called Festa de Morti (festival/celebration of the dead). It's the night of the 1st into the second of November. But it's more of a celebration than it is a somber time.
For us, it is a day spent in prayer while the elderly go to clean the graves.
