I have all my con photos in my home office. I won't show them, though, because there are people who may not want their picture on the internet (my best friend goes with me to these things). I have the selfies and professional photos from all my past con experiences up (which are arguably very few, since I've only been to three before, and never for more than one day at a con to see one or two select people).
My office is my "fan" space, though. It's where I can put all my nerdy little things to enjoy and be surrounded by them when I'm working on things. Even though the experience wasn't very good, and I thought about not hanging the pictures from my last con up as a reminder, I decided that I wasn't going to not hang them up. After all, I did pay for them, so I might as well display them. Otherwise, it would just be a total waste in a box or something. At least there's still plenty of room on my walls for future adventures and experiences.
OK I got both Majel (Lwaxana) and the Imzadi art made by a friend of mine. I think I need to climb up and dust Imzadi off and straight them. lol Anyway, the gift Majel is talking about is a video birthday present I made her. I didn't think she'd ever see it, but her assistant found it, showed it to her, and that's how I got Majel's autograph and pic. :D I love Star Trek actors. Well... John De Lancie was like meeting Q, but I also think he was hurried on the he came to a con.
I was walking out the door at the same time he was leaving and I was talking to him. He looked at me like, "Why are you talking to me?" I guess it was sort of weird, but I happened to be leaving when he was and he was going out the front door too. I didn't mean any harm. It was all just coincidental and I never thought about us walking out at the same time being weird.
I don't see how anyone couldn't love Marina, though I haven't gotten a hug from her yet. Just got to talk to her when she was sitting at a table signing autographs. There just wasn't enough time to actually talk to her, though I think she would have listened all day long to me, if she had the time. I really do.
I wish I had gotten the chance. I was really lucky when her assistant noticed my gift to Majel and Majel sent me an autograph pic. I would have loved to have met her and Gene in person, getting to talk to them and all. I hear they were the nicest people.
Christina Chong's just been announced for FedCon. She's been here last year....
I'd love to post the pictures hanging next to my bed, but there are some other people on there as well that might not want me to. But rest assured I have my own monument๐
Whoever wants to see it just has to stop by and visit me๐ค
I got them to my comp from my phone and I will show more of my ST stuff. I have a china cabinette with not only my grandmother's and great grandmother's chine, stuff my kids gave me, Native American dolls, but also Star Trek cups and plates (Imzadi and BonC, but my husband has a couple TOS plates I put in there for him show with mine). Don't get me started with how TPTB did Bev and Jean-Luc in Picard. 20 years?! PLEASE! And she didn't tell him about Jack. WTF! Of course that whole relationship the writers messed up... OK, where are my fellow BonCers? I've seen my Imzadians, now I needed a back up from my fellow BonCers.
I didn't like that story line either. It wasn't reasonable to me that noone would go looking for her. Season 3 was just a launch for Jack Crusher. You could cut it down to the what, 45? minutes of screentime the Imzadis had for me and I wouldn't miss a whole lot. When I rewatch it that's what I do, I skip to the Marina parts.
Same here. The only thing I've watched since the first time I saw Season 3 is the Imzadi parts. I've rewritten that, in a story I've been working on, still keeping the Borg part and because Picard has nanites in his system, they went to Jack and he has Borg tech in him, BUT, Beverly never hid the pregnancy from Jean-Luc and those 20 years of her being MIA never happened. I didn't take Will and De's fight away though, because it makes for good Imzadi stuff. "Not take it, carry it for you." Life with a Betazoid, what can I say? Of course, she did tell her baby sister (yes, Deanna had a baby sister and a baby brother, in my story lines) when she married, "Don't make the same mistakes I have" after Will and De's fight.
I like your daughter's thoughts because I get the same thing from some of my family members ๐ I don't have much wall space in my house but Marina shares as much of that space as my family photos do ๐ฅฐ Even this one.... although it's not in the living room as requested. It's by my back door and I see it every time I come home ๐๐คฉ๐ฅฐ
She said don't hang it in your living room ๐. This is in my bedroom because there are no pictures on my walls in the living room, just because I haven't decided which ones I want to put there yet. But I have more pictures of Marina now than I have of myself. And my family now that I think of it.
It's wonderful! That's what I'd call it. I have a sign pic of Majel as Lwaxana and then a drawing (drawn by a friend) of Will and Deanna on one of my walls. That's not to mention the other signed pics of Gene and Majel on another wall and that's not including my husband's framed TOS posters. While I can't meet Majel, I'd love to meet Marina again. It's been at least 20 years since I've seen her at a con.
"(good in bed, bad at pizza)" ROFLMAO! It was the BEST scene, if you ask me. However, Worf is a terrible kisser. Those teeth. Still, that was the Next Generation "Mรฉnage ร Troi".
You could both be right. I have a couple Marina/Deanna monuments. It's a show of love for her /the character she breathed life into. The pics you have up are lovely btw
And your wall is clearly a bit of both. It's certainly a monument of sorts, but it's also documentation of how you spent your summer.

I'd say definitely a monumental Marina summer๐คฃ

Not trying to a wiseguy. But I always wanted to quote the Simpson's on these boards:
"A little from Column A, a little from Column B."
โAbe Simpson, "Mother Simpson",
Season 7, Episode 8,
Original air date: Novemberย 19,ย 1995.
:)
Very nice pics.

Why not both? Lovely gallery you've got there.
