This weekend has been absolutely amazing almost mind blowing.
I can't remember it all and I don't know if i ever will because my brain feels like it had been turned into scrambled eggs and i haven't slept in like 3 days... but I had an wonderful time. I hope Marina did too :) (Also hope you liked the almond corners - i only bake for special people :) )
We made it to Dortmund and back safely, had an unforgettable one of a kind I can't believe it all happened weekend and I feel totally drained today. Marina sure is the best.
Yes, I am trying to remember that conversation :) its just bits and pieces. Sunday is almost completelygone. I was really out of it on sunday and merely just tagging along. Lol. 4 hours of sleep in two days simply wasnt enough
Coffee, the finest organic suspension ever devised. ~ Kathryn Janeway She even beat the Borg with it. :D Throw some chocolate creamer in it and you'll have coffee fit for Deanna even. :D
Just got done talking to my American Mom sharing the past weekend with her and I know posting this won't make any difference, but I really miss her hugs and kisses, and Marina's hugs are the closest I could get so far to hugging my Mom. She's living in California and last I got to see her was in 2019. Hopefully I'll be able to see her again in 2025 but that's not sure yet. But that's why I'm so grateful for each and every Marina hug. And they both are hilarious and very expressive and entertaining. God bless them both.
Hello everyone, Iam just new into this nice Forum. I just came back from Dortmund and two friendy women told me at Comic Con about this site, lucky me!! It was an honor to meet Marina for the first time and she was so lovely and friendly, although I acted like I could not count one and one together because I was very nervous. So thank you again and its nice to be here. cheers Sandra
I am definitely coming back to Germany! I'm planning London in July and would have loved to be there this past weekend but...I have to plan 🙄. Being a responsible adult is no fun 😤😝
I blame the Native American in me. My father was 1/4 Native American, his mother was 1/2. My mother is a pale face ginger (Scot-Irish) who always burned in 15 minutes of sun- lobster. She smelled like vinegar everytime she became a lobster.
I'm usually pale af in the winter, but 15 min out in the sun and I've already got a base. And, at the end of the summer, I'm 3-4 shades darker: I've only gotten sunburn 2 times that I can remember. It's my completely useless super power. Must be those Mediterranean genes 😆
Same here. It takes a lot for me to burn and I don't use sunscreen. I probably should, but never have, so it maybe too late. Then again, I am getting older and skin changes, in which I could burn easier, which means it's not too late.
Meclazine or a scerladerm patch, which I know are prescription, make me feel weird, so I won't take them. I get dizziness too because of inner ear issues, which they haven't diagnosised yet, but have things to R/O, such a Meniere's. I won't take any med, which there are many, that make me feel weird or sick and unfortunately, there are a lot. One, along with it's relatives, even puts me in the hospital anaphylatic shock. I'm very senstive, allergic, and even have life threatening reaction to at least one, to many meds and have a ton of environmental allergies, yet I can't even take steriod type meds (like Flonase and Prednisone) because I also have Sjorgen's. At least the Hashimoto's doesn't do much to me as long as I take Levothyroxine, which I have no probs with and that's a good thing. However, if one has one autoimmune disorder, they probably have more, so I'm told. :-s
Astrid and I, the both of us, might also have campaigned for you a bit 😉
We have just been trying to figure everything out to come see you again. So please expect some very happy girls over at your table on saturday and sunday :)

Have a safe travel, Marina!
Please all keep your fingers crossed for no snow and free streets on the weekend. (We would be coming by car)
Also i hope everything will be okay with your flight and pick up at the airport @Marina :)
Typical that even for winter this weekend the weather is absolutely unpredictable. Le sigh
Is it weird to think about outfit choices almost two weeks in advance and shake in my boots? 🤣
That's great news, Marina! But why do you think that someone cancelling is the only way you'd be invited?
They would have been much better off if they had requested you from the start ☺️
Great news
