My Nana always told me that memories can never be remade so cherish the good ones forever.
My grandparents were married for 47 years when she passed away, and it was the only time in my life I had ever seen my Papa cry. He told me that although his heart was broken, he spent 50 wonderful years with the love of his life and nothing in life could be better than that. So every October 28th for the 9 years he lived after her death, we still celebrated their wedding anniversary because even if she was gone, it was still the greatest day of his life. So I hope you celebrate today, remembering the love you were so fortunate to share with someone whose love you had for each other will never die. May today always be a monument to that love. 🫂
Don't cry because it's no more--smile because it happened.
