This is an idea I have for a fanfiction story. What do you guys think? Good or cheesy?
Deanna Troi is on the USS Enterprise. On a distant planet a lone teenage girl is the sole survivor of a shuttle crash. She reaches out for help telepathically. Deanna hears her calls for help but has trouble pinpointing where the calls are from. After some time, she is able to telepathically connect with the girl and learne about the crash and which planet the girl is on. Deanna asks the Enterprise crew for help in finding this girl. The crew tells Deanna that no such planet exists. They think Deanna is losing it. Deanna fights to prove that she’s not going crazy and is in fact telling the truth. Deanna tries to convince Picard to set a course to the planet that the computer says doesn’t exist.
Of course we want to share what we create, and it makes it all the better when people enjoy it, but you have to do what you enjoy, too. Otherwise, if you're creating just because that's what people want, you'll eventually find yourself not enjoying your own writing. Write it for you. Share it with others. There will be plenty of people that will love it!
🥰 TYSM. I just posted my first chapter on Archive of Our Own. I titled it "Whispers in the Void". Thanks for your encouragement & support. Much appreciated!!
An 'attempt' at Deanna Troi fan art. I tried to draw a portrait and incorporate the following quote into it: "Feelings are something you have, not something you are." Marina didn't say that in the show, but I thought the quote fit Troi's character. Next time I want to add some light blue and lavender into it. Debating whether this would look better as a painting or a colored pencil drawing.
So, if you don’t already know, I’m really into thrifting. I found this doll at a thrift shop. She was in bad condition, but I was able to spruce her up. I forgot to snap some before picture, but her clothing was ripped, her hair all matted and uneven and her face was scuffed. I did have to cut a lot of her hair off and cutting doll hair isn’t easy, but I did the best I could. Also found her some clean doll clothes at another thrift shop. What do you guys think of the final product (after pictures)?
Do you think I’d be able to re(sell) her like this?
