Favourrite book: Imzadi by Peter David of course. :) Great writer too, I've read Imzadi so many times, I've worn my autographed copy out. Marina autographed it when I met her.
Favourite movie: Star Trek: First Contact
Favourite song: Lotta Love by Nicholette Larson (she died of liver damage from too much Tylenol which we thought was safe at the time.)
Favourite actress? Oh my... Majel Barrett Roddenberry, Marina Sirtis, Jonathan Frakes, Michael Dorn, Levar Burton, Robert Beltron, Gates McFadden, Sir Patrick Stewart, Jane Seymour, Kate Melgrew.... You see a theme here.
Actor I'd lose my shirt over? OH MY! (No, he's gay, and wouldn't even blink lol) But if I could get the courage up and not be so timid... You ready? Jonathan Frakes, Robert Beltron, Levar Burton, and Michael Dorn. Why not Sir Patrick? I'm afraid I'd break him. lol
True story, this young woman at work, who I get along with like Madame Rouge gets along with Crazy Jane or Rita, of Doom Patrol, was talking about "old" actors she'd do and I made a comment about Sir Patrick Stewart and she said, "Who is that?" I almost had a heart attack! I told her Captain Picard. She Googles on her phone and she sees him and says, "Oh, Xavier of X-men! Oo! I'd do him!" I said, "Oh no you don't! You'll break him!" The age difference was EXTREME, given she's 31. She'd break him.
Guess that's just shows I would lose my sh*t with those 4 guys of Trek. As said else where, I was dared to ask Dorny to marry me. I got up there for an autograph and not only did I chicken out, but I don't think I said as much to him as I did Marina. I spoke, but I wasn't outgoing around him. I can't even remember actually looking him in the eyes, except briefly to tell him what I wanted autographed. I see Marina like a big sister. Not too hard to talk to a big sister, if I had one that is. Jonathan, Dorny, Levar, and Robert... Is it hot in here? That and when you've had fantasies about them in character and written Shipper fanfic J/C, Imzadi, and K'Ehleyr/Worf...) and much of it was or is on the net. Geordi is another story with original character. (no blushing emoji, need one- well, place on here mentally) So, yeah, I wasn't too far off about losing my shirt and losing my sh*t. Just like when I met Dorny, the Betazoid from the Sixth House in me suddenly went bye-bye and I was suddenly introverted. Yes, my husband knows about these imaginary lovers (play song here). He's read my fanfic for the last 20-25 years, but not my non-fanfic works.
I understand, I don't feel the same way, but I know the feeling, just not with the boys. They are all gorgeous and lovely, but more like family. For me it's hard to talk to Marina, I fangirl so much about her my mind goes blank and I just stand there thinking OMG I'm in the same room with her breathing the very same air. And then my husband, bless him, has to take over the conversation🙈
One of my favourite tv shows are Doctor Who, House md (so many doctors… ;)), Sex and the city and ofc TNG.
I don't have one favourite book, I've read too many to choose just one, but let's say that The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon is one of my favs. Same thing with songs, but the band of my life is U2… Maybe someone else here also likes them? ;)
Hmmm I’m a very boring person. I don’t usually have a chance to keep up with all the current entertainment fads. Plus my kids and husband occupy the tvs and computers in the house. Taking a stab:1. Movie would be Steel Magnolias and TNG film is Nemesis (don’t hate on me, my choice is obvious 😄)
2. Book- reading paper books tend to put me to sleep so I havent read much lately. Probably “A Child Called It“.
3. Song- too many. Prefer 70-80’s rock, the older country (before 2010), Rolling Stones, Beatles, Chicago, Kiss, and of course Dolly.
4. Tv show- my go to’s are TNG, Modern Family, Criminal Minds/NCIS.
Lose my shit? Well, I STILL lose my shit over Marina and I can’t even count the times now that I’ve had the privilege of so many 🥰🤦♀️
Others would definitely be Dolly Parton and Gene Simmons
Pride and Prejudice which is also my favorite TV series. I was standing 10 feet away from Mearly Streep at the Oscars one year and I nearly passed out.
so my all time fav. shows would be TNG and Leverage, my top 4 shows that i love to watch atm are Hacks, Ted Lasso, Leverage and Picard. with songs it highly depends on my mood. but i can always go for gypsy when i need something mellow, 9 to 5 when i need something fun, dangerous if i need something to sing along and anything country if i need to dance. favourite movie is probably beaches or big business. depends on if i need something funny or something to cry my eyes out. 9 to 5 the movie is always a godo spot and well.. from the star trek tng movies - it would be first contact. just love the drunken troi scene. with books... i really cant decide. I read so many good books that i cant single out one.. i think. i need to give this a longer thought ;)
Oh good question, I'd like to know that as well! And I'd also like to know what you're reading currently. I would like to put a book on my Christmas wish list.
Imzadi is my all time favorite for obvious reasons, but I love reading all sorts of books, especially those that are someone else's favorite. Right now I'm reading my teenage daughters' hand me downs that they liked so we have something to talk about. That's mostly Colleen Hoover.
Favorite movie is Sister Act and Insurrection and many more and my all time favorite actress that I lost my sh*t over is Marina💛
from the TNG books thats definitely my fav too. i love all things Imzadi. i mean... duh. look at my name :D right now i am reading thrillers, joy fielding, tess gerritsen - that stuff. but i am sure that soon i am in the mood for something else again. i read almost all genres.
well.. considering i only met marina briefly for the picture and was too shy to get an autograph i am sure i would join you in loosing my shit over meeting her. we will see next year i guess. Other than that i would loose my shit at Gina Bellman and Hannah Waddingham - (yes I see a pattern here)
My favorite book is A Wrinkle In Time by Madeline L'Engle, favorite TV show TNG of course (no really) favorite actress Marina Sirtis ( 1st time I met her, I thought I would pass out or get sick I was so nervous, didn't do either thank God!) 😀 don't have a fave song but I really love Christmas tunes.
My favorite book is “The Time Travelers Wife” and my favorite TV show is Doctor Who. I also like Big Bang Theory, Evil, Continuum and That 70’s Show. My favorite song is constantly changing, but currently it’s “Purge the Poision” by Marina and the Diamonds .
