I don't know if Marina remembers it, but I am a regular blood donor and in 2018 I donated blood exactly on my wedding anniversary, June 21.When I told him this, he asked me with a worried face if I had any problems. No, I have never had a problem after donating blood, and I have been donating blood plasma for more than 1 year.Today was my 50th blood plasma donation. The needle only hurts for a moment, but the knowledge that I can help people with my blood or with the medicines made from my blood plasma makes up for it.I learned from Marina that sometimes it gives more pleasure to give than to receive.

You are my hero! 😻
I’ve had 3 major surgeries and a heart attack in 2020. I would not be here if it weren’t for people like you and your generosity.
If a person does not donate blood, please don‘t make a judgement about that person. There are many medical or other reasons that preclude a person from being able to donate - reasons that are nobody else’s business. I once had to listen to a co-worker make comments about someone in our office who didn’t participate in the office blood drive. When I mentioned that it could be a medical reason her response was “she looks fine to me.” Of course, not every illness is visible but too many people have the opinion that if they can’t see it then it’s not really there.
I hope to have my 51st plasma donation on Saturday.
Thank you for your contribution to helping those with medical needs. I haven’t donated in a long time but there is a blood shortage worldwide. Many of the patients at the infusion center where I work end up needing blood/blood product infusions at some point in their treatments.
I wish I could donate blood. I did so a couple times, but I naturally have very low blood pressure (I’m talking 90/50 as my norm), so I felt very ill afterwards. My Dr told me not to donate unless it was an emergency (for a family member) and in a hospital setting where they could help me. Still, I feel guilty, especially when I read about nationwide blood shortages.
Thank you very much for your donations🙏🙏🙏
