Your pictures with Marina

Hi everyone :)

I saw that some of you already posted their picture with Marina (or at least one of them) with their introduction.

I thought it would be fun to have a place where you can post all the pictures you have with her and we could awww about it and be jealous lol

I still havent uploaded mine but will do so in a bit. I am never fond of my pictures but its a picture with Marina so I stil llove it ;)

I've never actually met Ms. Sirtis. But I have a question for her. I know she's a busy person. So maybe one of you can answer it.

Was her character Deanna Troi at all based on herself? Because I know she's Greek. Deanna Troi wasn't Greek per se. But that name. Deanna sounds like the Greek goddess Diana. And Troi could be after the semi-mythical city of Troy. Just a thought.

Because I know Patrick Stewart's character often quoted Shakespeare, but was from "La Bas, France" which seems interesting.

Marina says she and Deanna have nothing in common, but it has been MY observation that all of the "badass" qualities along with the empathy, kindness and resilience that Deanna has,come from Marina

I completely agree. When Marina says "she's not as sweet as Deanna", it doesn't correspond to reality. She is really kind and empathetic towards those who treat her with respect.

I remember she was brilliant and funny and gracious (shocking but I was a nerd even back then), and it was the first time I had heard her real accent- and she was very kind
