Because I first encountered them about thirty years ago in an old cookbook. They sound a lot like shortbread. But I don't know.
Then just before you cook em you're supposed to prick them and perfume them and put them in the oven. I understand prick. But what do you perfume them with? Channel 5°?
What are they like? And where do they have them? Does Amazon sell them? I'd like to try them. They sound interesting.
Sorry my bad. They are not actually cakes they are more like cookies or biscuits as we call them in the UK and they are at least 5 inches wide
