okay most of us seem to have pets, i thought it would be fun to share our pictures? Also.. who doesnt love pet pictures, right?
If you think this thread is not needed please let me know... i wont take it personal. I really dont want to spam the board with useless threads and make it more difficult to navigate or anything. :)
other than that.. let me start:
This is Sam. She will be 14 soon. Its and older picture from before she got sick

This is Bacon (yes I named him) he stayed with my ex after we broke up. Miss him a lot.

This is Lucky. He's my best buddy, he's currently curled up against the cold in a jumper/sweater and blanket and by my side as I deal with a double ear infection and head-cold. He's 6 and a half and quiet literally a rescue, my landlord when I was living in Pomona CA rescued him out of the middle of the street and we've been basically together ever since. He's my anxiety service dog as well. I genuinely am not sure who saved who.
Sam looks a lot like my Oreo, who passed away at 14. We never expected him to live past 1, so each year on his birthday I made him a crown and took pictures. As you can see he wasn't impressed.
And Wallace, aka 'The Heathen'. He growls and bears his teeth when we pet him, even though he's enjoying the attention, and really doesn't like being disturbed when he's napping. We don't know how he did it, but he stole a whole loaf of bread from the kitchen and wouldn't let us have it back. He ran at Sally in an attempt to scare her... once. He won't be doing that again anytime soon, and respectfully avoids her like the plague. He has a tremendous joy for life and despite his odd behaviour, we do adore him.
Maggie in her younger years, although she looks remarkably like this 10yrs later. She likes to flirt with Sally, who is not amused and occasionally gives her a right hook.
This is our18yr old Sally who we first fostered about 4 yrs back during her eye surgery, then adopted in hopes she'd keep an aging cat Tash company. Unfortunately when Tash tried to make friends, Sally whacked her on the head and that was that. Tash has now passed on and Sally rules the roost scaring the crap out of our Pappilon.
This is my beloved sweetie and naughty boi, Lenor ;) He's 16 years old. He is my first and only dog, so I'm very glad he's still with me.
Edgar is my 5 year old rescue who was registered as a boxer/beagle mix. 🤔 Nope. Doggie DNA says that he is American Staffordshire Terrior aka pit bull
Fefe was my dads 14 year old dog that I adopted after he passed away last year.
Henry is my indoor/outdoor kitty. He’s approx 7 and was also a rescue. Maryanne Lyons found him in Pennsylvania before he relocated to Ohio to be with us☺️
Muffin is a mean bitch but we love her anyhow. She was found in the yard as a 4 week old kitten about 5 years ago.
I love the idea of a pet thread. I adore animals (and I think most others on here do too). I’m so sorry to hear your pet is sick. It’s always hard when our beloved pets are sick/pass away. My heart goes out to you both.
This is my German Shepherd, Megan. She is 12 years old and, unfortunately is very sick. She has a degenerative disease of her muscles and joints. I’m waiting on the animal hospital to order/fit her for a doggie wheelchair because her back legs are almost completely shot. She is such a sweetie and is the reason I survived the pandemic with my mental health still intact. I sometimes joke that Megan should be the Troi family dog because she’s so empathic. You can see it in her eyes. She is one of the most loyal and sweetest dogs I’ve ever met (no I’m not biased).
This is my spoiled little princess Sicily. She is 10 years old now & she’s slowing down but forever my little girl ☺️. She is exactly like my 11-year old daughter except she doesn’t talk 100 miles a minute. She thinks she’s my guard dog & is currently scratching my arm because she wants my undivided attention so bye 😊
I love these pictures. They're actually very old (1977 and c. 2005).
