I thought we could use an off topic thread in which we can talk about everything else?
whats going on in the world for example
or just regular stuff like when work is being a snitch
or what shows we binge watch at the moment
or if we all have already bought christmas presents (I have not. god i am such a chrinstmas grinch.)
on top of that we can all get to know each other a bit better that way maybe?
well enjoy
x Jess
Just realised how beautiful yellow roses can be. Got them today for my Birthday ;)
If you guys ever find yourselves in the Tampa area and are looking for some really good Greek food, go to Hellas Bakery and Restaurant in Tarpon Springs. I got their baklava today. Best I’ve ever tasted. They also known for their souvlaki and Saganaki if you’re in the mood for that instead.
The drink is an iced cinnamon cappuccino. And today is the day I learned Cappuccinos aren’t exclusively Italian.
I got the Walnut baklava. They also have a chocolate one if you don’t like Walnuts.
Just got my own cute Deanna tubbz duck! ;)
Sorry for posting this, but I feel like I need to tell somebody. My mom recently went in for a routine medical test. They said her appendix is loaded with leisons, but they don’t know how bad or what kind yet. But leisons usually means cancer. My mom had surgery for cancer near her eye in December. I lost an aunt to cancer in 2013, a grandfather to cancer in 2021 and my dog to cancer this past March. The specialist she’s seeing said my mom needs surgery urgently to remove her appendix before the leisons spread or burst. But due to a lack of available operating rooms and medical personnel, the earliest they can get her in is the 16th of June. It’s an in patient procedure and they estimate about a week of hospitalization for her. I’m just really overwhelmed and scared right now. I feel utterly helpless. I trust you guys, which is why I’m sharing here.
Yesterday I was at Peter Gabriel's concert in Kraków. It lasted for about three hours and it was just magical. I travelled over 500 km by myself to see him and I don't regret it at all. Finally I could see him live. I was there with my best friend, we both are fans, so being able to experience it together was also a great bonus.
I just wanted to share my joy ;)
Okay, so the last week and a half I was feeling extremely faint, heart palpitations and shortness of breath. I attributed it to allergies and being run down. I was driving a couple days ago and had to pull over because I almost passed out. My mom convinced me to go to the doctor because I can be incredibly stubborn and hard headed at times. Anyway, I got in this morning. My dr asks me if I knew I was running a fever, I didn’t. Apparently my temperature was 100.2 F (37.8 C). I literally had no idea I was sick. Turns out I have one of the worst bacterial sinus infections she’s seen and it’s also aggravating my asthma. Dr said that’s been causing all my symptoms for the past 10 days. I got a script for heavy duty antibiotics and prednisone. I went in thinking I was wasting their time and it turned out I was really sick. Moral of the story: Listen to your body. If something is off, go to your doctor. Even if it turns out to be nothing, you aren’t wasting their time. It’s better to be safe than sorry.
For those of you who speak German, can you tell me what this says? I don’t fully trust Google Translate.
Who else is excited??
So apparently I have the gene for empathy. I didn’t even know there was an empathy gene. They also said I tan easily and tend to favor coffee, red wine and seafood. All true. It’s amazing (and a bit unsettling) what you can find out just by simply spitting in a tube. 😆
