Not sure if you guys have heard of Chat GPT. Basically it’s an app where you state a prompt and the AI writes something for you. I gave it the prompt: Write a scene where Deanna Troi meets River Song. This is what it came up with. I honestly think it’s pretty good:
Deanna Troi stepped into the bustling spaceport, the hum of technology and chatter of multiple languages filling her ears. As a Betazoid empath, she was used to feeling the emotions of those around her, but this place was particularly chaotic. She took a deep breath and focused her mind, trying to block out the noise.
Suddenly, she felt a sharp jolt of energy and spun around to see a woman with wild curly hair standing behind her. The woman was dressed in a strange mix of old-fashioned and futuristic clothing, and she held a glowing device in her hand. Deanna couldn't read her emotions, which was unusual for her.
"Hello there," the woman said in a British accent, flashing a mischievous grin. "You look like you could use some excitement in your life."
Deanna raised an eyebrow. "Excitement?"
The woman twirled the device in her hand. "Oh yes. Adventure, danger, all the good stuff. I'm River Song, by the way. And you are?"
"Deanna Troi," Deanna replied, studying the woman carefully. There was something familiar about her, but she couldn't quite place it.
"Deanna Troi," River repeated, as if testing the name on her tongue. "Well, Deanna, I have a proposition for you. How about we hop in my time machine and go explore the universe?"
Deanna's eyes widened. "Time machine?"
River nodded, holding up the glowing device. "This little beauty can take us anywhere and anywhen we want. We could see the birth of a star, or witness the fall of an empire. It's entirely up to us."
Deanna hesitated. She had never been the adventurous type, preferring to stay in her comfort zone. But something about River's enthusiasm was infectious. And besides, she could sense that River was telling the truth about the time machine.
"All right," Deanna said, a smile spreading across her face. "Let's go see the universe."
River whooped with delight and grabbed Deanna's hand, pulling her towards a large blue box that was nestled between two spaceships. "Hold on tight," she said, stepping inside. "This could get bumpy."
Deanna took a deep breath and stepped inside the box, feeling a rush of excitement and trepidation. As the door closed behind her, she knew that her life was about to change forever.
