Question for those of you in the acting/performance field. So, I went to an open call (virtual) auditon last night for the tv show 'The Voice'. I checked and it's okay to attend auditions during the stike (so long as no contracts are signed and no actual production is done). Anyway, I didn't make it past the first round. Thing is, whenever I attend auditions the feedback is always the same and I'm at a loss as how to fix it. So, I'm always told that I'm very animated and have great facial expressions/body language and exciting to watch as a whole. The issue is that I don't project well which I find odd because, in normal conversation, I naturally talk loud and people tell me to lower the volume or use my inside voice. So why is it then that I'm not projecting properly when singing or reciting a monologue? It doesn't make sense to me. I've had no formal training for acting or singing; I'm 100% self-taught. I did take a couple of public speaking classes at university as part of my English Literature degree. Maybe it's a different type of projextion and I need to take a couple of acting classes? The only issue is there's not many for adults where I live and the one place that offers them is super expensive. Anyway, do you all have any suggestions or recommendations? Thank you in advance.

This is the role I want to audition for next. It's for the stage play "Murder on the Orient Express". Auditions are in mid November. @Marina you may be able to help considering the character is English. Just kidding. But thank you all so much for your suggestions. I will definitely work on my annunciation as well as look into online acting/voice classes.
Andrew Keates comes to mind, he's offering online classes.

Projection doesn't always mean volume. It may be annunciation.
Hi Val,
That's awesome that you auditioned. If you are looking to improve your voice stability and support. I would suggest looking for a voice coach. If you can't find one where you live see if they gave virtual lessons. Also tere are plenty online. Good luck 👍🏽 🎤
